Maru 4x4 Problem

Buy another cube.
Seriously... I've being playing with my Maru's tension for a VERY long time.
Probably the Dayan is better, but also is quite a problem to get its right tension.
I just bought a Shengshou V-3... so, let's see if it's better than those two.

do u have the shengshou v1? how does it compare to v4

Has anyone else noticed how every time someone has a problem with there 4x4, everyone just suggests that they get the SS V3 instead of actually helping them. (I don't know anything about Marus so I can't help you.)

In this case there is no helping... Maru just don't have any mod that can fix the misalingment problem. You can actually see from videos on youtube a way to put the center back to its correct place, but there is no way you can actually fix this problem permanently. Not only this problem, but there's the fact that due to some of the parts being hollow and others not, it will cause from time to time some lock-ups.
The Dayan should still be the one "nearly perfect" but it's just a pain to find the sweet spot and it's kind of too bulky (not a problem if you have big hands). One point that I should say is that I'm much more a "rough" cuber, so Dayan, unfortunately, explodes in my hands. I do believe that this problem will be greatly improved, for me at least, if they actually release this "mini dayan 4x4".

Anyway, probably the 4x4's are the most problematic ones to find a good one, no wonder each time people ask for the "best cube 4x4" or solution people suggests other cubes instead of a permanent solution.

I should create a 4x4 problem thread, thoughts?

That is quite a bold statement sir. Care to back it up?

Huh?
Don't know what you're trying to achieve, but that is quite a good ideia. A lot of people have problems finding good videos or tutorials on how to make their cubes better, so, yes, that would be probably quite helpful.

I must agree that it was quite bold of me to say that, and usually this kind of statement sounds dumb, BUT, couldn't find any tutorials here or youtube or google for a "definitive" fix to the Maru problem.
For the past year I regularly enter this forum to find a good solution, because I own a Maru, but usually people anwer with a "buy this cube, buy that cube".
