So if anyone follows my Channel knows I like me some stickerless cubes... But one problem. The plastic often feels very slick. Especially after lubing, and even with trying to wipe down the outside. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I really don't know. With stickered cubes, I tend to leave on the residue when restickering for grip, so for stickerless, I dunno. Maybe you could look in your local hardware store for something that can coat your cube lightly with something sticky.

I recently tried spray adhesive for a project and found that when it dries, it never fully hardens and remains slightly tacky, but not sticky. This might work for your cube, but it might be too much grip. Also, you might need to cover the florian holes to make sure none of the pieces stick together. It won't hurt to try on a bad stickerless cube, just make sure to use very light coats and to follow the recommended distance.

I would think perhaps some transparent stickers, although the WCA might not allow that in comp, just a thought.

I have the same problem but the opposite scenario.

Stickered cubes more slippy, and my one and only stickerless cube is slightly better.
When I went to a competition, I had a wet-wipe in a bag in my pocket, and thought about wetting my fingers, but actually I didn't use it, just had very cold hands that I could not keep warm. Tried blow drier in the toilets, blowing on them, wearing too many clothes, and even going for a run, but poor circulation is a *****. All round makes for cold and gripless fingers.

So, I found a solution. There is stuff called Gorilla Snot that is used for helping hold guitar picks/drum sticks, and I use it for disc golf and violin bow. It's make of tree sap and honey. What is crazy about it is that after some use it just dissolves like oil or lotion on the skin (It actually says on the package it will dissipate). I just put a tiny tiny dot on my fingers and it allows for the slightest amount of grip (almost as if my hands are dry as if there is zero lube on the cube). After about an hour of cubing the stuff was gone off my fingers and not on the cube in any way. It was actually nice. It wasn't sticky, but just "not slippery" anymore.

So is this legal to do at a comp?

I don't see why not.
