Does anyone else with decent times use the same as I do?
I can average about 1.5seconds with my method, but about 2 seconds with the method most people use.

Here is what I consider the normal method

With the method you use, I find it time consuming to do the move before the last 6 flips. When I switched, it took some time to get used to the back moves, but it was worth it for me.

My problem is the second-last flip with that method
I always get caught

That's how I really solve...I don't do the flip before the sixflip; I don't really do it at all.
Instead, I do some of the sixflip while rotating the magic

Well, your pretty fast anyway. If your method works for you, then you should use it.
