I've been browsing Aliexpress for a while and found some magic cube keychains at a very decent price. Of course it's not for speedcubing. Any recommendations?

For instance, some cubes are 3cm or 3.5cm large, what the most convenient size? (I guess it depends on the cuber's hands/fingers... On the other hand, 0.5mm won't make much difference)

Stickered or not?

I would say that 5mm actually makes a pretty big difference. What are you hoping to get out of the cube?

In my experience, as they get smaller, the turning gets worse, but since they all turn kind of bad, that shouldn't be your concern. Keychains vary in quality. Some are thin plastic sheets glued together, and you can push a finger right through them, others have more solid pieces. Some have papery stickers which peel and discolour after a few weeks, others have the colours painted on which last a couple years.

I recently bought a cubing classroom 30mm keychain cube for my sister. I intended to magnetize it, but the 3x1.5mm magnets I got don't fit in the corners. Turning is solid, it can be tensioned. It's far too small for my fingers, but for somebody with small hands it's not a top-of-the-line speedcube but definitely speed solvable. I'd compare overall feel to something between a Warrior W and a Thunderclap v1.

That's what I went for, less than $2 shipped from some Ali's shop. Funnily enough, a Warrior W is on its way (got it at $1.85 on Ali including shipping; alongside a MF3RS and 2 mirror blocks) and I have had the Thunderclap V1 for more than a year ; fortunately, I have small hands.

My goals are:
- to use this mini cube for practising simplified F2L when not being at home, so no speed involved, just learning and practising;
- to use it as a key chain?...;)

OK, so I received my 30mm Moyu mini cube/key chain and it is astonishingly smooth and silent
. Indeed, it's made for small hands/little fingers. Moreover, you won't break your record (neither the bank, less than 2 usd shipped), but (to me) it is perfect to discreetly study algorithms (intuitive F2L and key hole) or if you can't carry a regular cube. On the other hand, I wouldn't advise to use it as an actual key chain, as keys might likely scratch the cube.
