Lubricating DIY (Do It Yourself) Cube

Hi Everybody,

I don't have a DIY (Do it Yourself Cube), but should you lubricate it with silicone? I mean I lubricate my store-bought cube with silicone and it spins really well. But DIY cubes have center tension adjustments so will lubricating it with silicone do any good? I mean does it go faster because siliconereduces the friction between the slices?
