It has been 5 months ago since I last lubed my F-II. Thousands of solves have been done with it since then. It has been working up for the last weeks and today I got sick of it locking up and popping so easily.
I opened it and indeed; it was full of debris and dust. I cleaned it, and put it back together and it turns like a dream now.
Should I lube it or just leave it like this? I'm in doubt. On the one hand, it is good as it is and if I lube it, it will be slow for a day or two days since silicon spray acts like glue when it's just applied, but on the other hand, I figure the silicon spray kind of protects the cube from gathering debris, so it will get dirty inside faster if I don't lube it?
Tell me what you'd do.
