Lowest number of stickers on 3x3x3 for unique solution

I've been looking around on the Interlolz and haven't found shenanigans about it.

I've seen a thread on the subject like 3 years ago.

How should I peel stickers on my 3x3x3 so there will be the lowest number of them with only ONE solution to it.

I remember it was around 28 stickers. I know there could be a face with only one sticker...
