Loose rubiks magic

I have a rubik's magic (not sure what kind but its not Lingau... its white) and its very very loose
I have a few extra strings from a broken magic I have
Is there a way to make it a bit more sturdy?
maybe add some strings? if so how?
also is it possible to lube it ? -_-

If you want a tighter magic, you should string it new.

Getting a new set of strings is probably the best option.
If your magic is currently double strung (front and back) there isn't much you can do to make it tighter, other than somehow shrinking the strings.
