I did it. It took me 1 hour 11 minutes. The time is longer because I took a break in the middle but the timer kept going for some reason. I took a break at 46 mins in exactly and started again at 96 minutes.

sorry about that. your right i thought 4!=4+3+2+1
No worries, it's an easy mistake to make. If you're confused at all about how factorial works to help calculate the number of possibilities, think about it like this: If you have 4 slots to fill in, there's 4 ways you could choose the first slot. Then, for the second slot, you could choose that 3 different ways, and so on. Because each term is dependent on all the previous terms, you multiply the probabilities together.

I feel so stupid right now

I was trying to solve parity on 5x2 but i was using the bottom row to solve parity when there is no parity on bottom row because the number of columns are odd
To solve parity you do a single move on a column, because that way you are literally swapping two pieces😑

Guys what if we create a software the permits using a Bluetooth cube to control a 3x3 loopover grid?

Top row = U
Second row = E
Bottom row = D

Left column = L
Middle column = M
Right column = R

The problem is too differentiate an E' from a U' D for example

I just did the 20x20 again, and I didn't get parity, and I also did much better, cutting off half an hour from my previous time.
Great job! What cost me the most time was that about halfway through, the far let column had been used so much that it started slowing down a lot. I used an IPad and a full swipe down the screen would move it about 4 spots
