Hello i'm Niels van Hal, i'm from the Netherlands.

I have a 2X2, 3X3 and a 4X4.
My average for the 3X3 is about 1 minute, for the 2X2 around 2 minutes and the 4X4 i can solve in 5 minutes.

I have been solving cubes for about a year now, but have stopped for some months after i learned how to solve it. But i started again after i found out how big the community is for speedsolving. I'm learning the fridrich method now, and will be going to my first competition in april.

Welcome to the forums! If you want a good 3x3 for a beginner, I recommend getting a Ghosthand II 3x3 from CubeDepot.

How come your 2x2 takes twice as long to solve then the 3x3? There's much less to solve...

because i solved an practiced the 3X3 alot now and use algorithms i found online, and just got my 2X2 and figured it out myself instead of looking for solutions online

Solve it like a 3x3x3
Get first layer (if you can only get side, then use Y or T perm)
Then OLL for 2nd layer (if needed) then Y or T perm)
