Hi everyone. IT seems like a major part of my OH solve that is killing me is my LL. I know a lot of finger tricks and can turn sorta fast but it seems like i just cant get faster LL times. Sometimes my LL times are around 10 seconds +. I average about 27-29 and was wondering if a 2:15.xx OH PLL attack is suitable for those times (or do I need work on them?)
-Thanks

You should, but it shouldn't be that big of a problem. I think my OH PLL time attack is something like that. I average sub 24 at home, best average 24.42 in competition.

For some reason I'm nearly twice as fast during PLL practice as actual solves. I remember that all PLLs are under 8 seconds, U perm sometimes under 3, several others under 4, half are under 5, and most other than ugly cases are 6-7 seconds. So my best PLL time attack was about 2:30. Yet I average about 20 seconds for LL on solves, I'm not sure what's going wrong. I believe my fastest full step LL was about 8 seconds ( sune+U perm). Theoretically it could have been about 6 seconds. Once I get my cubes back, I know I'll OH for a few hundred solves. (get sub-35 hopefully)

So Bubblebuddy, If you can do LL as fast as you can do the algs when you practice, you are fine, but if you are like me, work on them.

Hdskull when you say "you should" do u mean practice more PLL time attacks?

You don't need to do PLL attacks, just do them individually, get the hang of it, move on to the next one. Eventually you'll become faster.

i think thouse times are well enough
just practise F2L
i am sub 23 and F2L is horribly (nearly) always over 14 seconds, then LL sub 8
if i did good F2L i could easily do sub21 averages

so as you see, LL is more than 30%
is around 40%
so if you do 28 average, f2l should be sub 18

try just working on LL
and also olny on f2l
and improve times

i do 1.22 (round) for PLL attack

I have pretty good OH F2L. (~15 seconds on average. Pretty often sub 15. My nonlucky best time (21.71) had a 10 second F2L.) My LL, however, is very inconsistent. Can be sub 10 on a VERY good solve. (But only if it has good LL cases, ie Sune, U perm, A perm, etc.) An average LL for me is probably more like 15 seconds. :P Btw, I average about 28-31 seconds.
