Ok, thought this might be fun. Let's see who's interested and how it goes. Obviously I'm not talking to you collectors out there who wouldn't part with a puzzle if their mother's life depended on it.

The rest of y'all, surely there are puzzles on your shelf that are just, for whatever reason, gathering dust on your shelf? Let's start trading them around! Free up some space, try new puzzles... Obviously, a lot of this will depend a little on an honor system... you gotta know and internalize the fact that no one is going to feel they got a fair shake if they receive your 27 year old mefferts pyraminx that is missing a piece and takes a pair of vice grips to turn, dig? Also, no fair waiting to see the puzzle before deciding if you will honor the trade!

Anyway, maybe it's a terrible idea, but I'm going to give it a shot.

Ive got a ShengShou Gem 4x4 (month old, maybe 10 solves, like my MF4 better) to trade. Will take just about any working puzzle for it. Anyone?

How trustworthy is this if you have zero idea what you'll get?
Also, a SS Gem 4 is tradeworthy for very few puzzles.

The only problem I see is shipping. Will cost $3-$5 just to get a puzzle for a little bit.
Good point. Wasn't thinking temporary trades, tho. Permenant. But, regardless, I see your point. Looks like no international shipping for sure! I could ship that Gem in the u.s. For about $2.75 I think.

Agreed.. which is why I was thinking dust-gathering, any puzzle that works type thing...

Anyway, thought it might be fun, but maybe not.

The idea is not that the trade's "worth" be judged, just a fun way to get dusty puzzles off your shelf, and trade it out for someone else's dusty puzzles.
