I've been composing a ton of music lately.

Hi.

Well, I've made it back into the realm of off-topic threads. As the title suggests, I've been composing a lot of music. Some Pokémon songs, other Nintendo songs, and even a few original pieces. The original ones aren't that long, but whatever.

Why did I start composing, you ask? Well, it came about in a text conversation between me and a friend of mine (let's call him Friend A). He thought it would be a cool idea for us and another friend (we'll call him Friend B) to start a Pokeband. I play piano and clarinet, Friend A plays piano, alto sax, guitar, and clarinet (GJ to him), and Friend B just plays clarinet. So I started composing Pokémon songs and a few others with different combinations of those instruments. For example, I arranged Route 10 of Black and White to be a clarinet-alto sax duet, with the piano playing in the background. I did a medley of three Pokémon-related songs today, and that's a clarinet trio. Unfortunately, MuseScore only allows you to post five scores at a time, and I have a ton of other songs printed out in a folder. So... if you want to see the folder, let me know. :P

Not now, Speedsolving.

Friend A challenged me to do the Rocky Theme for 1000 points. Points don't count towards anything. He just does that from time to time. "10 points if you can find the cat in the room."

Oh yeah, I should probably leave the link to my profile.

There it is. Go check it out if you feel like it. And if not, feel free to leave a nasty comment saying something along the lines of "MATT, STOP ADVERTISING. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

MATT STOP- Naw, that's for YouTube comment sections. This is for a cubing site with composers: You have musically talented friends, and you yourself too. This seems very interesting. Now, you gotta change your signature because your mouth is definitely not heavy from blowing on clarinets. You might I tried composing songs before and the results were not good. So far, you're doing an awesome job although I can barely tell cuz I quit ages ago. If you don't find this interesting you can always try ROUX...

I actually haven't touched my clarinet since last week. But I'm gonna have to when I see my friends for the first time in two months on the 29th.

So far, the process has consisted entirely of furiously clicking on my computer screen for hours on end making sure it sounds as good as possible. Friend B actually decided to start composing himself. Maybe Friend A will follow suit, but I don't know, because last time I checked he didn't have his laptop.
