is this comp legal?

i recently have been signed up to a comp! (WOOO YEAH) and the cube im using has a little broken notch where the orange plastic cap of the orange/white/blue corner clicks, if the o/w/b cap comes of then these regulations permit it :
5b3) Permitted repairs:

• 5b3a) If any parts have fallen out or moved out of place, the competitor may place them back.

which is a safety net i believe, but these regulations are a bit confusing :

• 5b5d) If one or more parts with more than one colored face are affected, the puzzle is considered unsolved (DNF).
• 5b5f) If a piece is partially detached or not fully placed, its final position is the closest position in which the affected piece would normally fit within the puzzle mechanism, considering the current state of the puzzle. If the final position renders the piece solved, the piece is not considered to be affected by the puzzle defect.

if the orange cap is not fully in place at the end of the solve does 5b5d affect it? and would 5b5f take affect in this scenario? thanks in advance!

5b5d covers a corner or edge, any multi color piece popping off, or twisting, or just breaking off in general, making it a dnf (is what i understand)
it has to be more than one color(im not too sure though)

I'd say it's down to delegate discretion, but an easy temporary solution would be to glue down the cap.

Well, none of the rules SEEM to break any laws, but if the delegates do decide to commit a mass murder, it will be VERY illegal.
But if nothing bad happens, then, yea. It's legal.
But I'm no legal advisor so take it with a grain of salt lol

update : @TheSpeedSkewber said its up to the delegate's discretion so i emailed one of the delegates and he saids its all ok so its fine for comp!
