This post is inspired by the recent 60 points world record by Rowe.

I am planning to invest money and get new 3x3s for my 30ish cubes MBLD attempt (ik I am bad and noob).

I was thinking if getting MGC3 Beta is a good choice. I average 25s in 3BLD and my MBLD exec is 35-40s (with lots of pauses coz I do not practice)

Please advice and suggest!

I reached 40+ points with 3 dollar non-magnetic cubes, and I plan to get to around 50 points this year. My opinion is that MBLD hardware doesn't matter much, unless you're among the very best.
For beginner and intermediate MBLD level, non magnetic cubes do cause 1-2 DNFs due to overshooting or undershooting. Also the exec speed slows down by a few seconds per cube, but as you said it does not matter at that level.

However, I would love to avoid the 1-2 DNFs due to exec mistakes. The easiest way is to carefully turn, but I would love to solve this problem by having more stable cubes.
