Is FMC hard?

Hey cubers!
I'm heading to my first competition on October 11th and October 12th and I'm willing to do the Fewest
Moves Count event. The thing is, I only have one month to learn it and I don't whether it's hard or not. Can you help me please?

I also don't know a good tutorial for it.

It is quite hard to do it well, but not hard to do it at all. All you have to do is write down a solution to a provided scramble in 1 hour.

If you know the notation, and can solve a cube in less than 80 moves, you can do FMC.

I think this really varies by person. In my opinion it would be 5x5 blindfolded.

It is definitely hardest event to just get a result at, but just getting a result almost makes you top100 alread

Well I would say it's quite a bit easier to just get a success at 5bld than do sub10 3x3 avg for example.

FMC is quite easy. The real nervy event is speed FMC on the SS comp where you have to submit the solution as soon as possible to get more points, u' R' E' R U2 R2 S R S' R U' .
