Hi everyone,
I'm Winston from Singapore and I've been cubing on and off for 5 years or so. I’ve been rather inactive on the forum but I'm really keen to find out whether there are any professional or hobbyist magicians around here! Just a little introduction - I picked up close-up sleight-of-hand card magic a couple of years back after seeing a Colour Change video by blah on this forum. I only got really interested around February last year though, after a friend taught me the ACR which sparked my interest for magic again.
Upon completion of the 'A' Levels examination in November last year, I started practicing seriously and have since moved on to coin, cups and balls magic earlier this year. I’ve also been seizing opportunities to perform card routines (Biddle Trick, a short ACR, Three card monte etc) for friends and family, and I enjoyed the mini performances immensely. I’ve learnt around 10 routines to date and have been practicing them for a while; however, I hope to perform publicly when I become proficient.
Anyway, I've been really fascinated by YouTube videos of the great magicians performing, and would like to expand my social circle of magicians. I only know a handful of magicians, and I’ve been lurking around the Magic Café and the local forum but am unable to join at the moment as I use a non-paid email. Nevertheless, I would be really glad if I could come across like-minded people on this forum! I do remember coming across a cuber-magician on YouTube some time back, but I'm not sure if he's still into magic/cubing. Feel free to post here if you’re interested in getting into magic, an amateur like me, or a hobbyist/professional magician. Looking forward to hear from you guys! Thank you!
