Hey everyone!

I started cubing 5 months ago, when I learned the beginner's method. I started at about 2 minutes, and, since learning CFOP with two look OLL and PLL, I've averaged around 40 seconds, which I feel is pretty bad. Here are some of my stats:

2 by 2:
PB 14.26
Avg 16
3 by 3:
PB 21
Avg 40
OH:
PB 1 min 30 secs (started very recently)
Avg 2 mins

Does anyone have tips on how to get better at the events listed above? I'm going to a competition in two weeks, and these are the events I'll compete in.

Nice to meet ya'll!

Hey, Welcome to the forums! For 2x2, learn ortega, it’s really simple but fast.
For oh, just practice and learn good oh fingertricks.
For 3x3, just practice your f2l, and you can get down to 30 with 2 look oll and pll.

hello me
i have some tips for you:
for 3x3: just use some short cuts with beginners until sub-35, then learn 2-look oll and pll, then learn intuitive F2L, then just keep practicing that until you reach about sub-25 seconds, then learn full PLL. This should get you to around 21-20 seconds (atleast that’s how it went for me)
for 2x2: just use your knowledge for 3x3 and turn fast. Learn ortega if you want
for OH: just get faster at 3x3 for now

Did you read the OP?

I already know two look OLL and PLL - plus intuitive F2L.

As for 2 by 2, I have a trashy cube, so I'm gonna get a speed 2 by 2 cube if I don't for my birthday.

I've only timed like 2 solves for OH, so I'm not some dedicated OH solver.

Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Any specific practice methods you'd like to suggest to get better at F2L? That's what really drags me down, I'd say I average a huge 25 seconds in F2L alone.

What do you mean by "Nightcore ver."?

It's a joke that started with me responding to a bunch of people who all said "Welcome to the forums!" in someone's member intro and I said "Wow, how original". Now everyone is remixing it to make it actually original lol.
