Indian Nats 2023?

[JDAW6]

Is ther going to be indian nats this year?
As the us nats happened for the first time since 2019 and in other countries its also happening i think it would be nice. In mid December, in jammu would be a nice place to hold it, it is an amazing place and the weather is amazing in the winters.

Considering how late it is into the year, if it hasn’t been announced already I doubt there will be one this year. As to the reasoning I have no idea. @abunickabhi you’re a delegate in India; do you have any insight into this?

There’s no need to respond with a harsh and negative tone to every single post JDAW makes. Asking for info on India nats is completely legitimate. If he wants to suggest a place and date that favors him that’s fine (even if it shows ignorance to how these things are decided). Regardless of his past and potentially current cheating/faking of solves, JDAW shouldn’t be shunned from every aspect of the community. The cubing and speedsolving communities are meant to help other cubers and inspire helpful and uplifting conversation. Whether he reports inaccurate solve times doesn’t affect his right to get a legitimate answer to a simple question. Your judgemental tone about a question about if there’s going to be a nationals for India this year is frankly childish and ridiculous.

It has been announced on the WCA forums it is happening in meghalaya, Shillong; which is in the east side of India, near Bangladesh.

That's pretty neat that it's being held in a northeastern state! I'd expect it to be in a larger city (e.g., New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai), but Shillong seems like a very cool option!

they probably would have taken a bigger city but this is the only place that applied, pretty sad I can’t go.
