Impossiball difficulties

I've had an impossiball sitting on my shelf for a while, so I decided to set about to learn how to solve it.
I can now solve it intuitively except for the last cap, where I get totally flummoxed. I have no idea how to set about doing the equivalent of OLL and PLL steps to finish.
From generally researching the problem, I know the Impossiball is a 2x2x2 equivalent of the Megaminx, but I have no experience with a Megaminx whatsoever, so this is of little help.
Any help at all? Or would it be easier to set out learning how to solve a Megaminx and then apply it to the Impossiball?

Just solve one corner at a time like LBL until you get to last layer. Then, you can just use commutators to solve the rest of the corners.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. I can get to the last layer, it is then where I get stuck. What are commutators?

Do something like RUR' D RU'R' D' and you can see that it cycles 3 corners. You can set up all cases to something like this and solve it.
I think you can also use T, Y, and J PLLs to cycle 3 corners.

Ooh, ok that makes sense, thanks :)
i didn't think to use 3x3x3 plls, i wouldn't have thought it worked

If you want a real beginners method for the last layer, just do this (try it on a 3x3x3 to see how it works):

Orient corners 1 at a time like this (F D F' D')*2 , repeat. So for example
(F D F' D')*2 U' (F D F' D')*2 U' (F D F' D')*2 U2. With a cube rotation this can be performed as (R U R' U') *2 [D] which is much faster to perform.

Permute corners 1 at a time like this (R' D' R) (R' D' R)' , repeat. So for example (R' D' R) U (R' D R) U (R' D' R) U2' (R' D R)
