Hello guys i just came to the website, i am nearly a teen. I just officially learned begginners method yesterday and i was wondering which method i should learn next. I can only solve a 3X3 with a time of 2:48

Welcome to the forums!! It is great to have you here!! :)

I would suggest learning the CFOP method next. I learned it when I was about that time too.

Hope this helps! :)

You are welcomed.:)
For further improvement, you can learn CFOP or other speed cubing methods.
Explore all of them and see which one suits you the best.
Best Of Luck for your speed cubing journey!

Hi jkx9,

I started with CFOP just a few years with intuitive F2L and 4LLL.

But as I've learned more, I now recommend to beginners to learn Varasano/Ortega for 2x2, then move to a corners-first method, then to Roux. They are fairly efficient without having to learn dozens of algorithms at first.

Either way, try out a few different methods and use what you end up liking.

Everyone here is suggesting CFOP, but here's my suggestion: Do use CFOP, but only til you average around 35-45 seconds. At that point, take some time to choose which method you want to stick with. The main 3 speedsolving methods are CFOP, Roux, and ZZ. My advice would be to check out this thread.

When you reach sub 1, learn 4lll.
When you reach sub 40, learn easy cfop algorithms.
When you reach sub 30, learn more algorithms.
And finally when you reach sub 20, learn full cfop and some easy cfop subsets.

When you reach sub 35, decide if you want to stick with CFOP or switch. No one is forcing you to use CFOP.

That is a really good recommendation and I personally do not think I would have thought of that because when I first started cubing, I learned full CFOP 1 month after I first learned how to solve a 3x3, and I was only averaging around 25-30 seconds at the point.

But your thought is probably one of the better options in regards to learning CFOP, and if I were to go back and relearn CFOP, I would most likely do what you recommended. Also, Sorry for the slightly off topic intervention.
