I'm aiming for sub-40 seconds on 3x3

I just learned intuitive F2L, and 2-look Oll and PLL. I average 7 seconds on cross, and I need improvement in F2L, OLL, and PLL. Please give me tips to improve.
I think what you should work on rn is cross, you could easily improve by like so much if you get cross done

I recommend watching these cross vids from j perm, its where I learned how to do cross efficiently

Also, once you watch these vids, i highly recommend you do alot of untimed solves and try to get every cross solution under 8 moves

Hope this helps :)

pTr here!

I've done 18 timed solves today with a mean of 30.36. I think that the people are correct about f2l.

My split for this week
f2l: 16.63825641
Oll: 3.092171429
Pll: 3.998833333

I'm doing 4LLL right now and the biggest thing for my 19.54 solve was 2 free f2l pairs that I quickly saw, then I just watched on a corner while solving each f2l so I could quickly insert while finding the correct edge. Yes, I insert a corner then line up the edge. I also know 16/21 PLL and a handful of the common OLLs.

Advice: How I cut off 10 seconds from my average over the last 2 weeks, was doing slow solves. Plan your cross then close your eyes and do it. Take some time to figure out which of the 4 f2ls is easiest, then do it (can you do it with your eyes closed?). Repeat this till OLL. I would then do OLL and PLL as fast as possible without doing the wrong algs.

Q: Why is eyes closed so Important?

A: When you practice doing cross and f2l with your eyes closed, you train your brain to not need to watch the pieces that are being solved. This means that during a solve you can recognise a f2l then start solving it, and look for the next one at the same time.

p.s. cross sucks... I hate it...
