Yeah I saw you posted an explanation a day later, the only real argument was one of religion, as an atheist the rebuttal I would make is that your religion is wrong or site other religions being more accepting which I'm sure you would find offensive and lead to an unrelated conversation about religion which I don't want

Its not to shove the flags in your face, its to spread awareness to a group that is being targeted, people notice things they see as negative more often so if you don't want to notice LGBT representation be accepting.

its the fact they have decided to 'identify' as a gender which isn't theirs. When you are born, you are male or female, just like age, you are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. Can you change your age

But the thing is your gender doesn't change, if you're gender is different than your sex it's been that way since you're birth, you aren't born a different age I'm a newborns body but you can be that way for gender.

Honestly, that's not really what I care about. I mostly care that the community doesn't get discriminated against, not to become less of a minority. Also, it's mostly the companies that shove stuff in people's faces, not LGBTQ people, and I am personally against companies doing that because it harms the community.

That's not everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. Some of them do get angry when you miss gender someone, but most except for the members that harm the community won't go out of their way to blast you for it.



Also I do respect the way OP phrased their opinion, even if I do not agree with it. They didn't try and blast anyone in this thread so far so I respect them for abstaining from that and sharing their opinion kindly. I am not going to try to change anyone's mind.


However, I do not understand why OP decided to post a thread on this as they would most likely never have a reason to post a thread like this here, which makes me think that this is some attempt to try to change people's mind or an attempt to get attention.

In my personal experience, all my complaints about the LGBTQ+ are caused by a very very very small handful of people who happen to be super outspoken and get a ton of attention. The actual real genuine people who identify this way are just people trying to live their lives like regular people

I have moral qualms about LGBTQ ideas and principles, but at the end of the day any sane adult should be able to make any decision that doesn’t put anyone else in harm’s way. There’s no reason that LGBTQ individuals shouldn’t be treated as humans; they’re still people and they’re no better or worse than anyone else. What they do with their sex life is frankly none of my business or concern, and if they really want me to call them using a woman’s pronouns even though they were born a male then I’m willing to respect that.

So for me, while I find some of the stunts pulled by some of the “spokespeople” to be silly and sometimes disgusting, I’ve found that almost without exception, every single real person I’ve met who identifies under the LGBTQ canopy is just a normal person, and there’s no reason they shouldn’t be allowed the freedom to make those decisions. For me to try to deny that would be me stuffing my beliefs down their throats, which defeats the idea of religious and moral freedom.

I completely respect your opinion. On your first point: Obviously when I'm spouting negatives I'm talking about the worse side of the community, and their moral actions not their actual personalities and characters, some of my nicest friends are gay. The point I'm trying to get across is that the agenda is pushed so much nowadays for a minority group, and the awareness is so high at this point that a 5 year old knows about lgbtqia+, and even though you may be targeted for bullying that is an unfortunate slither.

On your second point:

But, even ignoring that fact, amother example would be that in space, you cannot breath. you cant change this fact. but you can supplement it by using ixygen tanks. This represents the transgender's goal to become a gender they are not, whuch they can can never truly do, but they can only pretend. My main point is that facts don't care about your feelings, and the fact is that men are men, women are women.

This is a great way to put it without being biased toward either side, and I totally agree. it's the small slither who go too far, and it's society being too scared to not push the agenda and they end up going too far.

I think you kinda took that out of context, what I was saying is that trans people have their gender misaligned with their sex. And about your other point about trans people, obviously one is not going to change their chromosomes but their gender is still different so trans people try to align with their gender.
