So I was doing FMC earlier. I generally average mid-30, and my old PB single was 31. Up until this point, I had always been breaking my PB by one move. I decided to try insertions today - I got a 32 which I did save a move on by doing a commutator after making the skeleton rather than doing an A Perm during the solve. The solve after that was a DNF... AND THEN I GOT A 23. This cancelled two moves when I did the insertion, and according to Insertion Finder, THIS WAS OPTIMAL GIVEN MY SKELETON.
After the 14-move F2L, I realised it was just as efficient as the F2L in my old PB of 31. Due to this, I was very keen to work with it - however, I got a terrible OLL on the normal, and the OLL on the inverse led to a G Perm which would require two commutators. Almost out of despair, I decided to try F R U R' U' F' as part of 2-looking OLL, and was amazed to see that it solved all the edges and 1 corner. This was easy enough for me to find a good insertion, and I was also lucky enough to cancel moves from the normal and inverse when I was writing out my skeleton. This is one of my proudest achievements thus far in cubing, and I am very excited to see when I will beat this single.
tldr: solve was four moves more efficient than the scramble lol

What part of my solve should I practise? I feel quite overwhelmed by the amount of things I need to improve on, so if somebody can give me one thing to focus on and a way to drill it, it would be much appreciated!
