Hey,
I am into speedcubing for about 6 monts and I only improve slowly, so I recorded an average of 5
and thougt that I could post it here so people can give me advice and tips.
I also would like to buy some new cubes, a Guhong, a Ghost Hand 2 and a 55mm Zhanchi or should I only get one or two of them?
Here is the average of 5:

didn't watch the video yet.
What cube are you using right now? I'd recommend either the guhong (v1) or 55 mm zhanchi. Don't get the ghost hand though. Maybe get both the guhong and zhanchi and see which you like more.

learn look ahead
get a zhanchi and a guhong, lube them with crazybadcuber's tutorial
use less cube rotations
practice blind cross[ i know it sounds stupid, but if you do your cross without looking at it, you can track f2l pairs]
get better finger tricks once you get a better cube
learn f2l algs for those long cases when the pieces are in the wrong spot
keep practicing and you should get sub 35 soon
practice your algs

:D :tu :D

Try working on doing your cross on bottom. Also, I can't quite tell what method you're using but it appears to be Fridrich. If that's the case, you'll be getting spammed with "roux" or "ROOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUX " or some other variant. This may be because those people don't understand personal preference or they personally believe it's faster.

@ickathu
I use a Rubik's type DIY thatt is called the Pi-cube

@ducttapecuber
thanks

ok i will start with doing blind cross and where should i get a lubix like lube?

@Tyjet66
yes, I use fridrich

get lubix at lubixcubes.com

if you don't want to spend that much money, then get 50,000 weight diff oil, although i recommend lubix

for more detail on diff oil go to the lubrication thread.

If you don't want to shop online, I recommend going to a Wal-Mart or a hardware store and picking up CRC Heavy Duty Silicone spray. It comes in a red and white metal canister. Be very careful applying it though, either break it in IMMEDIATELY, or disassemble the puzzle and lube the pieces separately.

First off, I'd learn to use the 15 second inspection timer. Getting into the groove of only having 15 seconds inspection, and seeing the timer run down really improves your initial lookahead. Cross on the bottom is an optional extra, but if you can get into the habit now when you're sup 30 then I'd recommend it.

Also, scrambling green front-white up is a good habit to get into. It means you can compare scrambles easily with other cubers, as it's the standard.

Personally, if I was you in that situation I'd concentrate on turning slower and looking ahead as much as you can. During F2L fast turning isn't exceptionally important until youre sub 15 or so. Finbgertricks are handy to shave milliseconds off your time, but only during OLL and PLL at the times you're looking at.

As for the cubes, Dayan Zanchis and Guyong IIs are the best speedcubes out there (to the best of my knowledge). I wouldn't recommend a 55mm cube unless you're interested in OH and have small hands. Full sized cubes are generally better and improve you fingertricking for higher order cubes.

I don't think you're ready for look-ahead. Your F2L is very shaky and uncertain. Turn the timer off and spend some time recognizing and optimizing every situation you come across. Check the Speedsolving wiki for ideas. You should know which two pieces are going into which slot and be able to make it happen with your eyes closed before you even begin to start turning.

Ghost-hand is OK but sort of lame by modern standards. Get a Dayan.
