I need a new method

Try PCMS (columns first). Technically there are no blocks, since it's just F2L pairs without the cross. It's very similar to Roux, but without the actual blockbuilding part of it. There are no rotations during the columns part, and you get this CxLL part that is almost like 2x2 CLL since it ignores the M and S slices. After adding some edges to the D layer, it's pretty much like Roux.

try this for TF: Triangle, Keyhole any 3 edges in, solve last corner and edge like an F2L pair, orient edges simultaneously permutind the final 2 D layer edges. Then you have normal LL, with Cross on top. so you could COLL, OCLL PLL etc...

example: scramble B on front yellow ontop...

D2 R' U2 F2 R B L' B2 F U R2 D'

y' L2 U2 L' y' D2 R2 F L' F2 L' // Triangle (9 moves)
D R U R' E2 F R' F' R u2 R U2 R' // 3 edges (13, 22)
to avoid trapped edge in pair... D' U M' U M (D u) // (6, 28)
U2 R' U2 R2 U R2 U R // last pair (8, 36)
U M' U M U' M' U2 M D2 // EO and D layer (9, 45)
y R U' L' U R' U L U L' U L // COLL (11, 56)
U2 R U' R U R U R U' R' U' R2 // EPLL (12, 68)

okay that turned out bad, oh well, at least it shows the idea...

I like that variation. I have gotten consistent 45 second solves. Once I learn the edge algs I will probably increase a lot.

ESO Algs are here.

I support your decision for Tri-Fran, I suck at blockbuilding as well and I switched from CFOP to Trifran as you did.

If you can, learn WV (later) and while you insert the last F2L pair you have all corners oriented, then you can do an ESO alg that preserves EO (which most do)

I'm still in the process of learning double spins, but I average around 35 seconds. No WV yet.

But but but it was created a a joke. I seriously respect this though.

Suck it up and blockbuild. Honestly. The more you understand about how to manipulate the pieces around the cube restrictionlessly now, the better off you'll be improvising in the future.
Blockbuilding has seriously helped my improvement from about 20 to about 13 (along with various other LL transition techniques).

Did you ever learn your G-perms?

not really, but then again Petrus really shines as a CN method, not so much with a fixed orientation

Why do you need a new method? Trying other methods to improve your general cubing knowledge can be good, but if you are going to resist learning blockbuilding and other essential parts of these methods, you will get much less out of them. Also, you are probably nowhere near mastering the method you already use and should be able to come up with many specific areas where you still need to improve.
