I first got my 1st cube, learned how to solve it, and I use the Beginners Method for Cross and F2L, then I use algs to get the top face solved, then the top corners, then finishing with the top edges. I average 1min-1:20. My Pb is 52, and the first time I lubricated it, I used Vaseline. Then, after some time I cleaned it out, and put silicone spray inside. But the silicone sucked, so I cleaned it out, and currently have Vaseline in it again. Lol, is this ok, or will it make it worse?

Vaseline makes it worse, silicone and constant use to break it in is better. I have a cube that I used Vaseline in and even after I cleaned it all out it still takes great effort to turn a side.

A friend and I find that adding white lithium grease to vaseline will drastically decrease the amount of plastic that is turned to goo, which usually happens with just vaseline. Afterwards, it needs like 2 weeks to settle down and mix into each other. Feels real nice, especially if it's been siliconed beforehand.
Silicone may have sucked for you for 1 or more of 3 reasons:
1. Your brand of silicone is incompatible with your cube.
2. You did not clean out the vaseline properly so the silicone was unable to lubricate the whole inner surface area.
3. Siliconed cubes feel like crap for several minutes so I hope you waited for a little bit...

Yeah, I think that the silicone wasn't compatible for the cube, it was Liquid Wrench Silicone Spray, but I'm getting CRC Silicone today, so I'll clean it out, and give it another shot.
Thanks for your reply. =]
