I Just Won a PS2!

Today there was an international festival at my school, and there were various game booths. Each booth had one grand prize, most of them giant stuffed animals provided by the school. But one of them had a PS2 as the prize. AND I WON IT!
But I don't have a TV in my house at this time, and probably won't. But We can borrow a projector from the school any day we want, and I can use it on them. But I have had MANY people come up to me asking if they can buy it from me. Like, 10 people in a few hours. I was wondering if you would suggest keeping it, and using it on a projector until the year after next on a TV, and then taking it to college with me, or should I sell it? The chances of my parents buying or letting my buy another game console is 0%.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

They didn't offer any money, just said they wanted to buy it from me.
And the PS2 is used.

I just looked on a few question/answer sites, and it looks like they cost about $90-120 used. If I can't get one for $110 I think I will keep it.

And a few other things were included. An EyeToy thing, 5 games, and 2 controllers. I think I will sell those separately, other than the controllers.

I got a used ps2 from my friend for $50. You can get the ps2 slim new from future shop for $130, nobody really sells the older ones anymore. Is this a new or an old?

I am not sure, but I think it is an old one. What is the difference in appearance.

the old one is bigger and bulkier, the new one is the slim one, at least i think

I would say it is probably an old one. I'll check the box to make sure though.
Yea, it is an old one. It has one of the i.Link connectors. I'm pretty sure those can only be used on the old one.

Don't sell it. PS2 has some awesome games. The graphics suck compared to PS3 but some of the games rule.

yeah I would keep it, you wont make a lot of money by selling it, I think the entertainment value is bigger

It was a new store opening, close to my house one day, and since it was the opening day, they selled evrything very cheap. The Ps2 was selled for about 1,75$. Sadly people were sleeping outside on the ground that day, so I couldn't buy it, cause they were sold out in like 0 sec-.-.

Back to the topic: Sell your Ps2 and get a Ps3 That is what I would have done.

I can confirm what Tortin says. Though, I've had my PS2 since 2003, I still enjoy it very much. Of course, if you plan on saving up for a PS3 I would just sell it and get a PS3.

Not really saving up for anything right now. I have a lot of money right now, because I have hardly spent any from my birthday, valentines, and christmas.
I may be saving up for a Wii, but I'm not sure yet.

Yes. PS3 > PS2 > Wii > 360

Wii is fun at first, but none of the games are really amazing and the novelty has sort of worn off for me. I don't have a 360 but I would take PS2 over 360 any day. FF FTW.

PS3 has good games, and the graphics rule (Uncharted, wow, the graphics on that are amazing). AND you can play PS2 games on it, which rocks. Oh, and it has a blue ray player.

Buy FFX as well.
