I got my first Sub60 avg!!! I'm so excited.

Last week, I got my DIY from cubeforyou.com, which shipped to germany within 7 days.

My method was:
- do the cross on bottom
- insert 3 corners
- Keyhole all edges in right place
- insert the last corner/edge(witch is still in place) with Fridrich
- do 2 step OLL
- do OLLC
- do PLLE

I know, I could be faster, cause I stuck very often not seeing the pieces.
And I have to lean more algs for the last Layer, because

OLL with 2 Steps is to long
OLLC in 1 Step without permuting Edges
PLLE sometimes costs me 3 Steps, cause I only know 1 Alg to rotate the cw.

Any other tips or advices for me
So long, cube on praticing....

not quite sure what you mean by 2 step OLL and OLLC.

OLL is orienting the whole last layer, so 2step OLL is first orienting edges and then orienting corners.
But afterwards you do OLLC, which I guess is orienting corners again, maybe you mean PLLC, permuting last layer corners?

Okay, now there is a tip for you. You said you need to execute your PLLE Algorithm 3 times in some cases.
That's wrong if you turn your cube correctly before execution, it's always possible with 2 executions.
If you have the cw 3-cycle of edges, no problem, that's your alg.
ccw 3-cycle: Turn it exactly as you do with the cw 3-cycle, so no problem again, exec. 2 times this way.
All 4 edges are on the opposite side: symmetric case, turn it as you want, again 2 executions.
The only case you might have problems with is the "x-case, so two adjacent edges are swapped, and the other two adjacent edges, too.
Then you have two possibilities to hold the cube, either two swapped edges on left/front or right/front. Cause this depends on the algorithm you use, I can't tell you, which way you have to turn the cube, but try the two possibilities and remember which way leads to two and which way leads to three executions.

For more advice simply post more exactly where you think you are slow.

Sorry, you're right. Again:

I do OLL in 2 steps (first do the cross, then the rest)
I do PLLC
At last, I've got the Edges at last to permute. For ex. I got 4 edges to permute. I do my cw 3-Cycle once to got one edge in place. Now I have to do it a secound time, see that there is still one more to go, so I have to do it a third time.

I know 2 times cw is 1 time ccw. Thats why I have to do it three times sometimes....

I'm slow in looking forward too, but in this case, I have to do more and more solutions to train my eyes getting that peaces I need...

hehe, no, just read exactly what I wrote, there are 2 cases with 4 wrongly permuted edges.

first the so called H-Permutation, so Front and Back are swapped as well as Right and Front edges. This case is symmetric and you'll have to exec. your alg twice.

second the so called Z-Permutation, meaning that front/right and back/left are swapped, or, if you turn the cube front/left and back/right are swapped. So there are are two possibilities you can turn your cube, one needs two and one needs three executions. So figure out which way of turning the cube is correct in this case, so that you need only two executions and remember it.

wow that's great. :) i recently got my PB average and normal PB sub-1min and sub-50secs respectively.. So our PB's are kinda similar... Except unfortunatley i use a keychain cube :(

Could solve since August - got sub 5 times. then my cube broke. So in october my mum bought me a 4x4x4 cube and i focused on that till january this year, when that broke too... So now i cube with my keychain cube.... What about you?

Btw, I've learn't 3 look LL and I know some OLLs. And I use Fridrich F2L So actually I'm very slow :P

I started cubing at the beginning of december last year. The mother of my wife buyed a 4x4x4 for christmas present for me, but I'm not knowing any algs for it. I concentrate on the 3x3x3 to get my times down still I'm constantly sub 60 avg. When I reached this, I'll starting with the 4x4x4.

I started with the storebought 3x3x3 from Rubiks.com, for a week I got my DIY and decreased my time. For the near future I have to learn 3 LL, so I got still more to learn.

cooper, please stop resurrecting old threads and find better ways to contribute to the forum discussions. Thanks.
