i have a "normal" 3x3 cube i can solve by looking at some help i found on net. but i can't solve my new cube 21 and it is driving me nuts. i can't find help on the net it is a 6 color version.

I use the solution in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxZ13MHX8E4

For putting edges in the correct layer, I think the algorithm in the description only shows a single swap. If you want to swap front/back on top and bottom, use (1, 0) / (-1, -1) / (0, 1).

It's not fast, but it doesn't have a lot of algorithms like the ones I've seen.

Oh my. I recently learnt square-1 (from the same video as you) and I also only know one edge swapping alg which only swaps UR with DR.

That alg you posted is so quick and easy and will definately help me out too. Thanks.

Thanks for the help. but i don't understand the algorithm for the cube 21... the help i found for my 3x3 is at http://www.youcandothecube.com I have found 2 of the 3 pages Bob posted "the 2 first". I now it is the easy way out but it is the best way for me to be Learning. im not that good at eng

So you just need a good page that explains the notation. Try
http://www.cubezone.be/square1notation.html Or
http://www.geocities.com/abcmcfarren/math/sq1/sq1xf.htm

You can also look on youtube for square-1 tutorials, most of them should explain the notation.
