Hey folks,
I'm a 34 year old epileptic twisty puzzle enthusiast. I've been solving for nearly half my life, since I was about 17. I figured that this might be a kind of interesting thread after my doctors appointment yesterday. I've had undiagnosed/undetermined epilepsy, aka seizures of various forms, since about 5th grade. Yesterday I had an appointment for a Neuropsychological Exam. Basically a test of verbal, visual, puzzle and memory skills. Trying to find out if the seizures may be causing or caused by other issues. I took a 3x3 with me because I knew that there would be some dead time in between tests. I was almost astounded by how many of the nurses and doctors were amazed at my ability to solve that 3x3 in under 25 seconds.

I won't get the results or analysis for a few weeks. I'm just guessing that I failed some of the tests and challenges, without question. However some of the tests I'm guessing I passed faster than expected, they were easy! lol. I'm just guessing that my twisty puzzle skills helped me out on quite a few of those skill tests.

So here we lead this onto discussion...

Where has speedsolving, or just twisty puzzle knowledge in general, helped you to feel more confident in the real world?

It always amazes me that they're amazed. It's just a toy afterall lol. Happy solving my friends.

Well I took an ASVAB test for college and future military purposes and there were many puzzle questions that I could breeze through because I was able to look ahead and change perspective quickly
