My name is Aleksandr, or if it’s easier, Alexander. I am 63 years of age. I had started speedcubing very late into my life at the age of 58. I use it as a way to cope with my Parkinson’s disease. I’m quite slow at solving the cube and I average about 1-1:30 on 3x3 despite having been speedcubing for 5 years.
I learned how to solve the cube in the early 2000s when I played around with one my friend brought for me while I was in the hospital. I started reading a book with a solution in it.
I use a corners first method. I haven’t seen anyone else use the method I use.
Cheers!
