Hypercube/Tesseract

In case you haven't noticed, there's a hall of fame on the website where you can find the list of those having solved it.

I think I could do the 4D one given enough experimentation, time, and thought. It's probably a lot harder than it looks though so I could be wrong.

I think it would be cool if a person could do a 4D cube leisurely. The 5D blows my mind though. I don't have a clue what's going on.

Do you think it's possible to build a real 2x2x2x2 cube? Obviously, it wouldn't be 4-dimensional, but it would physically simulate it. I'm not sure if there's anywhere to put a center core though...

I did the 3x3x3x3 about a year ago, I'm number 67 here. No time to try the 4x4x4x4 and 5x5x5x5, but I'm pretty sure I could do them without much difficulty if I had lotsa free hours with nothing to do.

I don't have a clue about the 5D ones though :(

Anyone seen the hyperminx? Supercool.

Edit: As an encouragement to everyone here, GO FOR IT! Really, it's not as hard as it seems. If a 16-year-old can do it in 2 hours, so can you :) And I'm pretty sure there have been people younger than me who've solved it. I did intuitive centers and commutators for edges and corners. Though I know of at least one guy who's solved it with Petrus. The coolest (weirdest?) part about it, IMO, is that a corner can be locally flipped :p
