Oh my, the storm's hitting us hard. 80 houses gone from some fire nearby, luckily it wasn't ours.
For some reason we still have power, but I shouldn't say that otherwise i'll jinx it.
And school's been closed for 3 days already. Unfortunately since Stuy is near the sea I'm pretty sure it's flooded and when school does start, the mass transit still won't be working, so I'm pretty much screwed for school.

With all due respect, i see loads of the houses on the news seem to be build out of what looks like just plaster board and wood? seems like load of Americans houses are built like that. Y u no use bricks?

No. The front of the houses have like fallen off. There houses are like the 'mobile' chalet homes you get at camp sites.

That is why their homes are also so cheap. Unfortunately it would be better to build them out of brick, but.. yea.. they have to start changing that themselves.

Down south they use more siding. When you get more up north, especially in states that get lots of snow like Wisconsin and Minnesota, there are more brick houses, and more log cabins, because you need more protection against the elements

Just got power. It's been almost 6 days. A whole week of school was cancelled and Chris Christie decided to move Halloween on monday. :O

Well, 8 days later, I finally get power and water and realize how much Bld Discussion I have missed. I didn't cube much, but when I did, I just memorized with a flashlight which proves knowing Bld can help while practicing in the dark.
Also, I didn't see anyone out on Christieween which is a ridiculus idea of McGreavy's that I hoped would never happen again.

I live far from the eye of the storm, and it rained like heck for 4 straight days. One of our trees split in half, and the other half is going for our power lines. Hope me luck, guys.
