Yes, as a general rule of thumb

Scrambles: lowercase letters = Multi-Slice (r2 = r2R2) [that equation seems to contradict itself ...]
r = (Rr)
l' = (Ll)'
Tutorials: lowercase letters = Slice-Only
d = (Dd) + D'
