How to loosen the V-cube 6 and 7?

I recently bought both the V-cube 6 and 7 and they're both very tight. They both have 3-4 solves under their belt, so they aren't quite broken in yet.

I have applied some lube (silicone spray) already though, yesterday, and it did not seem to make any difference.

Will it get better solve after solve, or do I have to take any other steps in order to make them faster? Right now, they're not much fun to solve because you need to be a half Hulk to turn the layers.

Another question: was it a good choice to lube it or did I ruin my cube?
Cause I heard you should first break in and then lube it, but I couldn't resist because it was so hard to solve.

You have to solve them much more than that if you want to break them in.

6x6....I modded mine. 10 solves later, amazing (relatively).

7x7 - 50 solves - solid (mine came pretty dang awesome).

V cubes can be pretty inconsistent. I wouldn't find having to do 200-300 solves to break it in out of question.
