How to do F moves with OH?

There are quite a few algorithms which are nice RUs but interrupted by Fs. Is it possible to do the F fast without much interruption? Or do you avoid algorithms with F?

Take R perm for example,

(R’ U2 R U2’) (R’ F R U R’ U’ R’ F’ R2)

I have to regrip (I do OH with left hand) at the F and F'. I see some people do F with left thumb but it is difficult to grip, is it a good way?

I rarely do F turns, normally if I have to turn the front face I perform:
y' R with my index finger pushing BRD.
I'm right hand by the way, with a F' I would probably perform:
y L', I would do this by pushing BDL with my ring finger.

There are two ways to do F with one hand. Simple one is to just regrip and do F like you would do 2 hand with your thumb.

Other is with a loose cube you kind of put your thumb on the F face itself (between FL and the center) and push upwards, sorry i can't explain.

Regrip to Index on U, Pinkey on D, Middle and Ring on B. Turn F with thumb.

You can also do F' with thumb, but in this case it's not the best.

Yea, I just use the thumb. Works fine for me. I have videos of all my PLL's on youtube and a video on how I turn the cube.

Over the weekend I practise, and now I can reasonably do F with thumb though it's slow. I still regrip and do F' with left index finger though.

I usually use my thumb, but if I'm transitioning between F2L pairs, then I do a cube rotation.
