hey guys my dian sheng keeps poping and when 2 or more pieces pop i sometimes forget where the pieces was originally at. so do u guys have any way to put back poped pieces into its original place?

Nope. If only one edge pops, you should be able to get the orientation right by looking at the other edges, but for more then 1 piece, just put the pieces back randomly and fix it at the end of the solve :)

Maybe you should tighten your cube or possibly buy a less pop-prone cube. I can't speak for other cubers but I barely pop, maybe once every 20 solves at most.

for me my cube pops about every 8 solves. it cant be tightened anymore . i brought a zhanchi though and is waiting for it to be delivered! :D

You can work out where the pieces go, but it's quicker to just try and put them in right from info you already have then just fix any errors at the end.

If you're in LL, it's easy to figure it out and shouldn't take more than a few seconds. Earlier than that I put them in any way that they go.

As far as popping goes, I used to think that cubes shouldn't pop. I've changed my thinking. Now I think that cubers shouldn't pop cubes. So I set my cubes quite loose and learn to keep them under control. When I lose precision in turning, my times are bad anyway. So I don't care much about corner cutting times. And I guess I should admit that I do more big cubes than 3x3 so precision is not just an option.

You call once every 20 solves "barely"??? I would call that a lot.

I use a Guhong v1 as my main... no torpedoes. When I got faster (just breaking sub-20) I popped the cube a lot. It was really annoying for awhile, but I think it was just a phase. I learned to turn and control my cube better. Now, I probably only pop once in like 300 solves.

Sorry for going off on a tangent...

My Cube is a POP CUBE, if more than 3 pieces pops I prefer to stop but if 2 or 3 pieces pops I keep on with my solve, IF only one I MUST remember the color so easy to fix it .

Even though you have learned to conrol the Guhong v1, I would try the Guhong v2. It is signifcantly faster and never pops. It has a different feel than the v1, that I think you would like.

Thanks. Oh yes, I've thought about getting a v2. I'm curious about it. But I don't want to buy any more cubes this year. Next year however... I'm waiting to buy a few new cubes. I'm thinking Guhongv2, 55mm Zhanchi, Dayan megaminx, and... we'll see what happens with Dayan 6 if it ever comes out.

Guhong 1 is nice, I've felt both and while it has a blocky feel, similiar to a storebought I quite like it a lot, it obviously cuts and turns way better than a rubik's brand so I'd put it up there as one of my favourite cubes, from the one's I've felt it feels even faster than the v2.

pops are indeed very irritating especially when u are getting a good time. when i get pops i would rage and bang my laptop and throw my cube hhaha
