How old were you when you started cubing?

I was about 10 when Rubik's cubes became popular but I didn't learn to solve until about 10 weeks ago at the age of 41. PB is 39 seconds and progress is slow. I'm aiming for sub 30s average so I've plenty of work to do.

11. Back in Feb 2009. I did get a cube for Christmas in 2008. Earlier in 2008 around July a friend of mine had one. I researched about it a little and discovered the existence of speedcubing. Didn't learn till Feb 2009.

I learned how to solve one when I was 13 (2009), but I didn't star speed solving until my senior year of high school when I was 17. So around early-mid 2013.
Currently 18.

I started at 9. I saw the cube in my classroom, nobody had solved it ever since he brought it in. I went home, looked on YT and used Dan Brown's tutorial. Best moment of my primary school life.

NOTE: I was mainly an enthusiast (2x2-5x5) back then and since I had problems within my school's student body I didn't really move onto speedsolving until late 2012. I don't really know which one to count..
