How long did it take you to get fast?

I started Oct of last year and I'm sub 20, I got sub 50 with my rubiks and got sub 30 with my yulong then sub 20 with my weilong

Been at it for 2 years now. Sub-12 global average. Sub-11 if all goes well.

I learned how to solve the cube in general 6 years ago, but I didn't get into speedsolving until those 2 years ago. Like anybody else, my times increased while starting to learn CFOP or any other speedsolving method.

So based on the progress of CFOP, here are my approximated milestones:

Sub-minute: A month.
Sub-40: 2 months
Sub-30: 4-5 months.
Sub-25: 7 months
Sub-20: 10 months
Sub-15: year and 2 months
Sub-12: 2 years

Although Somewhere around the sub-15 mark, I stopped cubing for about 4 months. It's been a while since I've done an Ao100

Where I'm at now, Sub-14, took me about 1 year and 4 months to get to. Although I think I'll be globally Sub-13 in around a month because Sub-13 and Sub-12 solves are becoming increasingly more common.

Idk how long it took me to get fast, I was sub 30 when I started properly timing myself. I got my first sub 10 at a year and a bit. I am at low 12s after 2 years with a tied PB of 7.39 (2 EPLL skips) and a PB average of 9.87 I think.

2.3333 years and barely sub 20 :(.
Started December 25, 2012, but it took me until April or so to learn how to solve one, being the dumb person I was. I started speedcubing the summer of 2013, and in 2014 I was frustrated and barely did anything. Two months ago is when I got more motivated to improve. I feel like my progress is really really slow after reading the other posts in this thread. :(

I have been especially curious about this lately too. I've been cubing since November so about 8 months, and I feel that I'm peaking. I hit a 20 second global average I think a couple months ago, and now its at about 18. Progression is reaaaally slowing down and I don't really know what to do about it. I'm currently learning full OLL, about halfway there. I don't know much about orienting edges before OLL so I wanna learn that too.

I don't really think I qualify as fast (sub-10?). I think I started cubing sometime around 2006/2007. I averaged sub-15 in 2010. I average ~12 now. So 8-9 years to get to 12 seconds...
