I have not learned the OLLs yet, but I would recommend watching badmephisto's video called "Tips/tricks for learning OLL/PLL". It will help you a lot.

Thanks for you help. I do know some 1 look OLL and I do use 2 look in my solves. I average about 17-18s, I want to avg sub 16. Will 1 look help?
Don't learn full OLL and switch to ZZ - if you already know full PLL then no more alg learning for you![]()
*cough* COLL *cough*
This. COLL/EPLL is not necessarily faster, and even if it is, it's by a very small fraction of a second. Not at all required for ZZ. OLL -> PLL is a perfectly legitimate and perfectly fast approach.
I am looking out for itI made a document containing all the information I wanted to learn in an organised way, and then systematically worked through it until I had it down.
I have to disagree with bran's idea to learn "easy" but inferior algs and then replacing them. I spent a lot of time picking what I felt were the best algs and then learning those, since learning something knowing you have to replace it with something else soon enough just isnt an efficient use of practice time. Get it right from the start. As for what getting it right actually is (alg choice and execution), I will be releasing a guide to OLL soon that I hope will answer any questions in this respect. Look out for it.
