Hey guys, so I haven't been seriously cubing for a long while. Whenever I pick up a cube, I just solve it, and get bored. Does anyone know how to get back into cubing? I think part of my problem is that I am stuck at almost sub-15, and can't get any faster. Should I just take a LONG break, or what? I think this could be beneficial to many people having the same issue.

Hm..
I'd say either take a break until you have this sudden urge to cube again, or to try to learn a new method, like roux. I got bored from cubing so i decided to to try to learn roux. I gave up, since i was so slow at it, and when i tried cfop again, i was so happy and have been cubing since. Or you may end up learning a new method and get good at it.
Last suggestion would be to try to solve the cube from another side then you start with.(if you are not color neutral)
Hope this helped.
Cheers!

Try different events like OH. When I got bored with 2H I started trying OH and now along with 5x5 and 7x7 those are pretty much the only events that I practice.

practice a different event, or order some new cubes, but not just new 3x3s. Order a new kind of cube, whether it's a wca puzzle (clock, 2x2-7x7, mega, pyra, sq1), or a non-wca puzzle (cuboids, shape mods, gear cubes, etc).

My recommendation to you is to learn how to solve the cube blindfolded and one-handed! Try out new methods! Also, solve other puzzles too, like the 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, Pyraminx, Megaminx, and so on.

If none of this actually helps, just take a break and try something else, such as games. On PC? Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, and League of Legends are all free and fun to play!

But sub-15's really good! Why do you get boared of that?

Probably because he's not improving. Sub-15 is an accomplishment, but sub-10 is a very hard barrier to break.

you should solve it more. like when your driving on the highway, or riding your bike, or while doing push ups, or while juggling. any way to make it interesting. and if cubing doesn't interest you any more, stop cubing. just because your good at it doesn't mean that you should spend your time doing something you don't like

I'm not sub-15 yet...that's the barrier I'm trying to break.
By the way guys, thanks for all the feedback! I really appreciate it. (and I'm happy that my thread didn't get removed like previous ones...)
Edit: I'm pretty much back into cubing now, thanks guys! I'm still working on sub-15.

eeee.that might be crazy experience.
I think you can choose some other kinds of cubes and challenge it again, when you pick that feeling when cubing different cubes ,maybe you can start again 3*3 and for more challenges.

I came back after a 4-year hiatus. Basically, I was super intrigued by all the fast times and records that people had, and I wanted to be as fast as them. So I suggest finding a good inspiration, and strive to be like them.
