Hey guys,

How did you feel when you were thinking or looking back at your beginner solves?

I felt that after looking at my first videos of solving the cube, i was laughing about how slow my time was... which were like 1:30 solves...

last year the cube was a real cool thing @ my school, someone broke the class record from 42 sec to 36 sec.
I now avg 24 secs, I feel great

I hate looking at my old videos, I find myself getting mad for being slow:

What is good for me now:

What was good for me back then:

Better methods, better cubes, and most of all, more practice over time.

I just started at a slow time and progressed to a faster time as I enhanced my methods and cubes, combined with practice. I was never really stuck at a certain time, so it was just a matter of time before I got to be where I am today.

So, I don't feel anything thinking back (looking back on goes to sub-25 on video) on my beginner solves, because it was just a stage where I was on my way to faster solves. :p

I :fp at myself whenever I see slow solves of mine.

It makes me think, "What are the differences between my solves now and my solves as they were then?"
Looking at the differences, not entirely much is different. Things get better by fractions of a second at a time, and the difference between a 42-second solve and a 19-second solve tends to be the method and algorithms used. Look-ahead barely improved.
