There is no point in pointing out feedback for the inaccuracies portrayed in the video.

I do not think the creator will take down the video to improve on these inaccuracies,

As getting views at the cost of misleading is not a punishable offence.

Another misleading video showing R2 method in bad light.

I have been an active R2 user from 2012-2018 and I was not consulted even once to clear out the inaccuracies. I still cannot take down this video and the creator has avoided me even when I have repeated said my opinion.

And can you point out the inaccuracies? Cuz I've seen the video and I don't understand what you are talking about

I mean I'm a big BLD main and it was pretty clear that he's not experienced with big BLD(i think he called 4bld the hardest event, etc.) but overall it was fine and I enjoyed the vid. It doesn't have to be completely accurate, it's entertaining and also talks about 4BLD for people who might not know much about big BLDs. His video might be simplified and might sacrifice a bit of accuracy to make the story more dramatic, but that's fine! That's why his videos are popular! Can you list out all the inaccuracies and misleading info you're talking about?

My god just quit with this nonsense already.

There is no inaccuracy in Jack's video, it is a fact that R2 is much more complicated than OP for corners. Using the method yourself and it having sentimental value to you DOES NOT give you the right to attack people for providing helpful advice to beginners to not use a bad and outdated method

Context: Abhijeet is doing the equivalent of this but in the blindsolving community:
- Feliks released his CubeSkills OLL algsheet in 2016 that I learned from, but is now outdated compared to modern algs like Brian Sun's algs
- Someone uploads a video "how to get fast at last layer" and recommends learning from Brian's algs instead of Feliks' algs because they are outdated
- I get offended at Feliks' algs being recommended to not use and attack the uploader with comments like "you are showing Feliks in a bad light when he is the most legendary cuber, I got many PBs with these algs they are still good" and making speedsolving forum posts to spread the misinformation.

If it sounds stupid, that's because it really is.

The worst part was that abunickhabhi was not consulted.

YouTube should take down any cubing videos of content creators that didn't consult abunickhabhi before creating the video.

I am fine with being kept in the dark for all types of content and knowledge advance.

R2 (New Pochmann) and especially R2+ is my baby, and it hurts a lot when a poorly made video is made just for the views and to mislead the community to disrespect R2.
R2 was very much relevant 2 decades back, respect that method in that time, and leave it alone.

Showing it in bad light is a serious offense from my perspective.

I might give you a detailed breakdown of the blunders STU made once I get time this weekend to write it down clearly and extensively.

For starters, he gives a misleading and catchy title "Unbreakable record" which is completely false.

He didn't call the record 'unbreakable' so that people would think that it's a record which is literally impossible to break. He called it 'unbreakable' because to show how long the record has gone untouched, how insane the 51.96 was, and how dominant Stanley really is. I don't think anybody would see the video thinking it's a record that is actually impossible to break, watch it, and then be disappointed that it wasn't a video about Master Magic. STU's channel is based on telling these cubing stories and news in a dramatic way, which means that not everything he says is literally true, and it makes no sense to call out his videos for not being 100% factually accurate. People watch his videos and people enjoy his videos, that's what matters.

The "bad light" is simply telling new users not to use it. It is not 2 decades ago anymore, have some common sense.

A super moderator making up baseless accusations to attack a former 3BLD world record holder for no reason is a serious offense from my perspective.

nah

he may be a former 3BLD world record holder but he is not perfect

you could make a video on youtube telling why you think R2 is viable, and it would be more effective than attacking JackCai

If you make an informative video on the subject it would be really contribuitive for the community because you make lots of efforts on BLD

unfortunately, the internet is full of uninformative content, for example youtubers like CubeHead and such make all kind of sensationalist videos that make younger cubers think X or Y about something without understanding it trough. thats the way it is.
Just spread the truth and hope for the best.

The video was made for the eyes of people with little to no experience in 4BLD which includes STU himself. I think that it’s a great video and really highlights how insanely fast/cool Stanley really is.

Yeah, I want to make a proper comparison and runthrough of,
  1. Old Pochmann (OP/OP)
  2. Intermediate Pochmann (M2/OP)
  3. and New Pochmann (M2+/R2+)

for the community. There is a lot of confusion and lack of information about this area of beginner blindsolving.

Yes, I agree,

at the end of the day more outreach of the blindsolving community does more good than harm, I guess.
