How do I speedsolve Big Cubes?

I would like to know what methods people use to solve their big cubes that average around 1 minute with a 4x4 and 2 minutes with a 5x5. I use the reduction method and the fastest I have ever solved a 4x4 is 2 minutes and the fastest I have ever solved a 5x55 is 4 minutes. What are these other methods and where can I learn them?

All of the fastest people use reduction. Keep practicing and get a better cube. Fast recognition/lookahead is key.
