Hey guys! I need your help improving my time. I average 40.xx seconds, less or more. I use CFOP method- Intuitive F2L, 2- Look OLL and 2-Look PLL. I average around 5 seconds for the cross, which I need to improve. I can't improve my time anyway with 2- Look things and stuff. What shall I do now anyway? After that? Then? Can I be sub 10? How much time will it take? Cool, then what? Thanks in advance!

My cube? It's the one and only QiYi Thunderclap.

I don't think you should learn full PLL right away, and of course not OLL. You just have to work on F2L. Keep practicing, improve your look ahead(google it if you don't know what look ahead means) and learn inserting F2L pairs from different angles. Again, just keep practicing. It may take you a month or a two to get sub 30. When you reach 35 seconds, start learning full PLL. Also, you can check out www.badmephisto.com for some great stuff on becoming fast!

I think you should start leaning PLL and OLL as soon as possible. That way you get more chance to drill on those algs. Don't worry about your current solve time. When you're learning something new it definitely will go up.

I'd recommend learning full PLL right now. You'll get used to it, and become proficient with it sooner. You will only keep getting better and better at case recognition. I still don't know all of it, and that's a terrible decision. As a matter of fact, I'm going to learn the rest of it right now!
On the other hand, full OLL will not help your times as much. I think that if you are comfortable learning algs, go ahead and learn it at your own pace, but do it now-ish. If you don't consider yourself to be very good at it, learn one or two every once in a while, and you'll know all of it soon enough.
Don't let anything fool you: sub-10 is not easy! It's going to take a lot of practice, time, and dedication.
Good luck! :)
