How do I go about learning f2l

About 2 days ago I started cubing after not doing it for about half a year, Ive already caught up to the same speed I was before(35s average) and I have looked at a few of my solves and it appears as if my f2l is affecting my speeds the most. I am not sure on how to go about learning f2l as ive been doing it almost entirely from intuition, how do I decide what algorithms I should learn first and how do I go about learning them?

I actually learnt it from a flowchart as I found the video tutorial(or at least J-perm's) hard to understand.
