How did u practice

do you do F2L or LBL? the cross is something that you should learn but F2L is more important to improve your times. i got down to 35 from 60 just by practicing F2L

In LBL you do f2l

F2l = First 2 layers.

IF you mean fridrich say CFOP

The F in CFOP stands for F2L anyway, does it not? :p So technically it could be LBL too, but I think it'd be understood as Fridrich F2L just like the post you quoted would be.

EDIT: About the original post - I'm probably not in a great position to give advice, not being great at the cross myself, but I'll repeat some common advice that I've heard and have been trying to follow. First, do the cross on the bottom, not necessarily to speed it up, but to improve your cross => F2L transition. Beyond that, just try to focus on doing the cross in fewer moves (ie. 7-8), and speed up once you feel comfortable doing that.

Well, first, switch to solving the cross on the bottom. I couldn't solve the cross during inspection when I solved the cross on the top, and can't even now.
When you're used to that, solve the cross (in your head) without doing any moves. Close your eyes and try to solve it from memory.
Do this a bunch of times. This will help you on your look ahead.
See where "helper" moves come in. While solving an edge, see if that turn can help you solve another edge with less moves. Also, try and solve your edges relatively to your other ones. To practice, just apply these things to your normal solves. It may slow you down at first, but when you get used to it, you'll get faster.

I solve it LBL, and the 2nd layer with Keyhole and the last Corner/Edge with Fridrich.
But what I wanted to know, did you solve the cross, scramble it again, solve it again and so on, or do you solve the first layer, or F2L, or the entire Cube?

I am not that fast at the cross so my opinion might not be really relevant but I think you don't need to focuss too much on the cross, it will come with experience. The only thing is that from time to time, if you have a difficult cross, you can stop the timer, forget about solving the cube fast and just look carefully how you could solve the cross (by doing it slowly you may see a lot of things you would miss by just going as fast as a normal solve).

Yes, I am really slow on the cross, especially when doing it on the bottom, but now I am doing the F2L(CFOP).

Just try doing a few cross solves without the clock first just to make sure you know HOW to get a minimum moves cross. Then just train to finish planning to get it in 15 secs inspection. after a while you'll get it.

I'm proud of my sub-5 cross... lol bad i know... haha. But considering my PB that's a small percentage... Okay I'm rambling now.. I'll stop :)
