I was also worried about that when I went to my first competition, but everyone knows you're new and nobody will force you to judge at your first competition (if you don't want to).

Could have been because I was an "old" lady?
That doesn't make any sense. Having fun, trying weird puzzles and learning new stuff from other people at competitions is more important than the competition itselfNobody cares how 'slow' you are.
I just attended my first competition in May. Nobody asked me to judge. Unfortunately, not many people even came over to say hi to me but I was kind of shy so didn't know how to break into the groups of cubers who looked like they all knew each other. Could have been because I was an "old" lady?
Thanks for all the response.
I'm now seriously thinking of going to the Amstelveen open, are there many people from here going?
I prefer old people so probably would have singled you outLOL.. I do talk to old people so I would have definitely talked to you..![]()

It's ok. Next time.I would have said hi, but I had no idea what you looked like and just figured it out during the end of the day.
This week my college is starting and next weekend I'm gone decide.
I first want to know how college is going, because I'm a first year.
