Hello! I am relatively new to curbing. I learned how to solve the 3x3 a few months ago, and have gotten more and more fascinated with the world of curbing since. I currently use a Yulong for speed solving the 3x3, and know F2L and 4LLL. I can also solve the 4x4, square-1, mixup cube, gear ball, etc. A few questions here: should I get a better cube, e.g Zhanchi; should I progress with CFOP, i.e 2LLL, or should I instead branch out into other cubes; and also, what are some other ways to meet more people in the community? Excited to be here, and I hope to spend a lot of time cubing!

First: your cube. I know nothing of hardware really to I'll go with guy above^^
Second: I would personally always advise checking out as many methods as possible so you can get some idea of what variety there is as well as being able to come up with your own ideas. Methods I would recommend looking at: CFOP, Freefop, ZZ, Roux, Petrus, Last Slot techniques (such as WV, MGLS, ZBLS, VHLS etc) and maybe some more obscure ones such as Waterman, PCMS, (shameless plug coming) SSC, M-CELL or RC.
Thirdly, I would advise against becoming a specialist right from the start as this will give you a narrow understanding. You can become a specialist later if you choose but don't start as one.

Hope this helps and welcome to the forums! :)

Hi there! I would definitely look at this thread. It has lots of information about other methods. I would definitely encourage people to try other methods - in my opinion, everyone should at least know how to use Roux, CFOP and ZZ. Try out those three and see which one you prefer - you might find yourself wanting to switch method!
